Dafabet will again be the title sponsor at the World Pool Masters. Dafabet, an online sports betting site, is a partner to a number of prominent sports brands, such as Celtic FC (Norway City FC), Warwickshire County Cricket Team and Warwickshire County Cricket Team. Dafabet also sponsors The British Fast5 Netball All-Stars Championship. It previously served as title sponsor of the World Pool Masters in 2017 and 2019.
Gibraltar will host the 2020 World Pool Masters. This tournament will feature 24 top players from around the world for a $100,000 prize. Matchroom Pool Club subscribers get tickets on Monday December 9, and the general public on Tuesday December 10. David Alcaide was last year's champion. He will be trying to defend his title in front of a star-studded field.
Dafabet Pool Masters
Dafabet has extended its title sponsorship deal for the World Pool Masters. The tournament will take places in Gibraltar 22-25 May 2019. The title sponsor of the World Pool Masters 2017 and 2018 was Dafabet. Dafabet also offers sponsorship deals for other sports. The company has also partnered with LaLiga, a football tournament in Spain, and Durham Cricket Club in England.
The Dafabet World Pool Masters is an international nine-ball pool competition. It is the most popular event of its kind, and it has increased the prize money for the winner each year. The prize money for this year's event was $100,000. David Alcaide, an American, won the tournament. Alcaide defeated Alexander Kazakis, a Greek, by twice the length of the final ball. Niels Féijen beat Shane Van Boening last year to reach the final of the previous year’s event. David Alcaide was also defeated during the first round.
Joshua Filler
A German pool player from Bonen, Joshua Filler, is making waves in the world of professional pool. Filler, 21 years old, has won the China Open as well as the European 10-ball Pool Championships. He is the youngest winner of either of these competitions. He is the youngest person to win the European Pool Championships.
Filler started the sport at age seven. He was already competing in the national level. At age twenty, he made his Mosconi Cup debut and represented Europe at the event. He was crowned the winner of the China Open 9,-ball tournament, and the European Pool Championship (ten-ball). He won his first ever world championship the next year by defeating Italian Carlo Biado. In addition to the World Pool Masters title, he won the Mosconi Cup and the World Cup of Pool. He also won the US Open Pool Championship.
Lo Ho-sum
Lo Ho-sum, the first Hong Kong pool player, reached the World Pool Masters Finals. Despite his recent success in the sport, he remains relatively unknown outside of his homeland. A wild-card entry to the Gibraltar tournament, Lo won a string of matches to reach the final. In the quarterfinals, Lo defeated Shane Van Boening. But, in the final, he lost to Joshua Filler. Lo's heroics saw the pair tie at six.
The World Pool Masters nine-ball competition is held every other year to find the best pool players. It was originally held in Europe, but it has since been expanded to include players from all over the world. Lo has a great professional record, and has maintained a top ranking throughout his entire career.
Sanchez Ruiz
Francisco Sanchez Ruiz won the 2022 US Open Pool Championship. He defeated Max Lechner 13-10 in final. The win puts him at the top of the Live Nineball World Rankings and earns him $50,000 in the first prize. It also makes Sanchez Ruiz the first Spanish player to win one of pool's oldest majors. The win also pushed Sanchez Ruiz over the $100,000 mark, passing Shane Van Boening in the process.
Sanchez Ruiz had a lot of difficult moments against Filler. After making two consecutive racks, Sanchez Ruiz was able overcome his nerves and won the match. After Filler fought back to take a three-point lead, Sanchez Ruiz managed to run out with a two-rack buffer.
