Be sure to read the rules before you begin playing bar pool. Know the rules for 8-ball and Rotation. Double tapping is also possible. This will ensure everyone enjoys the game. You will also be able to win if you are familiar with how to play 8-ball.

8-ball

Eight-ball pool rules differ from the rules for professional pool games. These 8-ball pool rules were designed for the average player and not professionals. The rules don't require you to learn fifteen pages of complicated rules to play a game. Instead, they will help to explain the basics of pool.

It is prohibited to use color-based racks in eight-ball games. In this version, the 8-ball must be the frontmost ball of the center three. Most people prefer to place the one in front. The rules also state that if you make a ball incorrectly, you lose a turn. It is not necessary to call straight-in shots, or touch a rail while taking a shot.

Double tapping

Double tapping refers to a player's ability double tap on an object by placing the cue ball near the object ball and aiming towards it. A cueball is within an inch of an object ball if it is less than 12 inch. It is also known as "sharking."

Assigning solids/stripes

Common ways to establish the style of a bar pool game are to assign solids/stripes to their rules. Solids and strips are two types of pool game. In a game of 8 ball, players use a cue ball to call most aspects of a shot.

Official pool rules prohibit hitting an opponent's object ball first. A player who has a striped ball in their pocket ends their turn. A double hit is also when the player hits the cue balls twice in one stroke. This is a foul.

Etiquette

You can play pool at any bar with a variety of rules. You will find that each bar has its own set of rules. Make sure you check before you play. You might also ask about any special rules in effect for the next games. It's important to follow the rules and respect them if there are. This will allow everyone to enjoy the game, without causing any harm.

Remember that "dirty pool" is not an option in the WPA's official rules. Smart pool refers to the type of shot that is not dirty. However, some people consider defensive shots dirty. Others consider shots that have been intentionally scratched to be unethical.
