Unlike most billiard games, pool is a very contested sport. It is very popular in all parts of the world. There are many types of pool in America, but the most well-known are the nine and eight ball pool. Pool matches are usually played over several games, with the winner declared after reaching a certain number of frames. The winner receives 61 points. You can agree on handicaps for winning numbers that are different.
The primary goal of the game are to have all the balls pounded. Each ball pocketed counts for one point, but any additional balls pocketed are also worth one point. A player is considered to have won if they are able to pocket the eight ball first. If a player does not pocket the eight ball, they lose the game. If the eight ball is not taken during a foul, all other balls are lost and are spotted. The foul does NOT count towards the points. If a player commits two fouls in a row, they are required to be told before playing their next shot.

The balls can be divided into three sets: striped or solid balls, object balls, and striped ones. These balls are usually smaller than American-style balls and come in a range of colors, including dark violets for the four and twelve balls. In the past, the object balls were all red, but these days they are usually multi-colored. They can be made from wood, fibreglass or carbon fibre. The most popular ball diameters are 2+1/16 inches, 2 inches, or 3 inches.
The object of the game, however, is to steal the black eight balls. To do so, the player must pocket all the balls that are assigned to be pounded, but he must make sure that all the balls that are pocketed are spotted and placed in direct lines to the foot rail. The player with eight balls in his pocket is allowed to place them back on the tables.
You can pocket a basketball without fouling by placing it close to your foot and calling the shot. Fouls must not be committed during the shot. All other balls must be placed in line with the foot spot. The foul will not be added to the points but will result in a player receiving a free shot. The foul may be used with any ball.

The player must keep the ball in his/her own pocket in the event of a shot. The balls in the front row and the middle of the table must be hit first. However, if a foul is committed before a ball is pocketed, the ball in the front row must be pocketed again. A player can also pocket other balls.
