Billiards Rotation 1 to 15 Pool Rules

snooker rules simple

Rotation Pool is an billiards game that utilizes a standardized pool table as well as a cueball. Rotation Pool is similar to ten and nine-ball, in that the players can pocket the lowest number of balls on the table first. These rules are in addition to those of the General Rules of Pocket Billiards.

The point system is the basis of rotation pool. That means the player who gets the most balls within a given time frame wins. Point schedule determines the numerical numbers of the pool ball balls. These numbers can range anywhere from 1 to 15. Other handicapping systems are also available. A player who has a lower-value ball can only have a higher-value ball on the same shot. This makes it possible for different players to have a different point total.

Rotation Pool is played on an upright billiards rack with a triangle shape. Generally, the lower valued balls on the table are pocketed first, while the higher valued balls are pocketed on the same play. Additionally, the balls are placed randomly on the rack. The "money balls" are located in the upper-thirds of a rack and are designated as such. They are assigned dollar amounts.

The game of rotation pool is primarily played as a form of gambling. The player who has the most balls at varying levels earns points. The rules of the game may allow the highest score to earn a share in the game kitty. This is often at stake. There are many tournaments, leagues and competitions to play in the rotation pool. Tournaments are generally held in multiple rounds. Top finishers advance onto the next round. Alternatively, they can be played in a single elimination bracket.

There are many types and variations of rotation pool games. The most common is the ten ball pool. In this game, the player must pocket the eight ball legally. The player who fails to take the eight ball is removed. The player who has the eighth ball is considered to be the winner. The player is then given a new ball and able to take the first shot.

Rotation pool, unlike other games of pool allows players to hit the lowest-numbered ball on the table first. All other balls remain out of play and the player with the lowest number must take the shot. A foul must also be called before the next shot. Faults may include failing to properly pocket an object or knocking it off the table. Fouls can also be classified by how many times they are committed. If a foul occurs three times in a row, the player is eliminated from the frame.
