
Joe Perry is an ace snooker player. British snooker players, Perry has spent many seasons at the bottom end of the sport. However, he also has a few seasons in the top tiers of the game. He reached the Top 16 in 2002 for the first time. But he has also spent three seasons below the top 20.
Joe Perry has been called both "the Fen Potter," and "the Gentleman." He was born in the Cambridgeshire region and turned professional in 1992. He has been a full-time professional ever since. Ken, his brother is also a professional.
Perry is a fixture on the international stage, despite not having won any major ranking events. In 2011, Perry was in the top eight provisional rankings. He also won a minor-ranking tournament in 2015. He participated in a battle alongside Ronnie O'Sullivan this year.

Perry has played in the finals of both the UK Championship and the European Open. He reached the quarter-finals for the World Championship. He reached the semi finals of the UK Championship in 2004, but was defeated by David Gray. He defeated Stuart Bingham, Judd Trump and went on to lose in the final to Stephen Hendry.
At the tender age of 12, he started his snooker journey. He rose to prominence as a professional in the 1990s. He reached finals in the European Open 2001. In the spring of 2001, he won his second European Open final. He then played in the 2014 Wuxi Classic.
He also beat Marco Fu, Matthew Stevens and Jamie Cope in round one of the World Championship and reached the semi-finals at the Masters. He won his second ranking title. Later in the year, he was involved in the Welsh Open and the Xuzhou Open. By the end of that season, he had dropped to a lowly 14th in the standings.
Despite losing to Graeme Dott and Stephen Hendry, he has managed to secure a place in the top half of the world rankings. He won the Welsh Open Masters, Xuzhou Open and the Welsh Open Masters on his way up to the top. He also runs courses to help people learn how to play the game.

He's tried to beat Ronnie O'Sullivan many times over his career. He won 9-5 in the first round at the 2008 UK Championship. He was just one frame away of the Masters finals in 2017, but lost to Ronnie O'Sullivan.
In the first round, he defeated Mark Selby, the current champion. He won the 2015 Xuzhou Open. He has also been a guest commentator at the BBC and has taught many courses.
