Dafabet once again will be the title sponsorship of the World Pool Masters. Dafabet is a partner of a variety of well-known sports brands like Celtic FC, Norwich City FC, Warwickshire County Cricket Team, Warwickshire County Cricket Team, and Celtic FC. Dafabet also sponsors the British Fast5 Netball All-Stars Championship. It previously served as title sponsor of the World Pool Masters in 2017 and 2019.
The 2020 World Pool Masters will be held in Gibraltar, featuring 24 of the world's best players for a $100,000 prize fund. Matchroom Pool Club subscribers get tickets on Monday December 9, and the general public on Tuesday December 10. Last year's champion, David Alcaide, will be looking to defend his title against a world-class field of stars.
Dafabet World pool Masters
Dafabet has extended its title sponsorship deal for the World Pool Masters. The tournament will be played in Gibraltar, 22-25 May 2019. The title sponsor of the World Pool Masters 2017 and 2018 was Dafabet. Dafabet also has other sponsorship deals. The company has previously partnered with La Liga football tournament, as well as the Sussex cricket side Durham.
Dafabet World Pool Masters, an international pool competition with nine balls, is held annually. It is the most well-known event of its type, with an increase in the prize money each year. The prize fund for the event this year was $100,000. David Alcaide, an American, won the tournament. Alcaide beat Alexander Kazakis of Greece by twice the length in the final. Niels Feijen, who defeated Shane Van Boening in the previous year's event reached the final. David Alcaide also lost to the Dutchman in round 1.
Joshua Filler
Joshua Filler, a Bonen-based German pool player, is making waves within the professional pool world. Filler, 21, has won the China Open title and the European Pool Championships 10-ball. He is also the youngest person to win one of these two competitions. He not only won the China Open but is also the youngest European Pool Championships winner.
Filler began playing the sport when he was seven years old and was already competing at national level. At twenty-two, Filler was able to make his Mosconi Cup debut. He also represented Europe at the event. After his Mosconi Cup appearance, he went on to win the China Open 9-ball tournament and the ten-ball European Pool Championship. He won his first ever world championship the next year by defeating Italian Carlo Biado. In addition to winning the World Pool Masters, he also won the Mosconi Cup, the World Cup of Pool, and the US Open Pool Championship.
Lo Ho-sum
Lo Hosum, the first Hong Kong player to make it to the World Pool Masters finals, expressed concerns over a recent budget cut. Despite his recent success, he is still relatively unknown in his homeland. Lo was a wild-card participant in the Gibraltar tournament and won a series of matches to reach final. He beat Shane Van Boening, but lost to Joshua Filler. Lo's heroics brought an end to the tie at six.
The World Pool Masters nine-ball competition is held every other year to find the best pool players. The event was first held in Europe but expanded to include players from other parts of the world. Lo has a very solid professional record. He has also maintained a high ranking all through his career.
Sanchez Ruiz
Francisco Sanchez Ruiz, a Spanish player, has won the 2022 US Open Pool Championship. In the final, he defeated Max Lechner (13-10). He is now at the top in the Live Nineball World Rankings, and he has won $50,000 as the first prize. Sanchez Ruiz becomes the first Spanish player in history to win one pool's oldest majors. Sanchez Ruiz also passed Shane Van Boening with this win, pushing him over the $100,000 mark.
Sanchez Ruiz faced many challenges against Filler. After making two consecutive racks, Sanchez Ruiz was able overcome his nerves and won the match. Sanchez Ruiz was able to win with a buffer of two racks after Filler battled back to take a lead of three points.
